Was a really good soccer game this morning to watch, US should have capped a 2-0 comeback but a 2-2 isn't the worse thing. They still should advance with a win in the final round robin game. I have no clue what the ref saw when he disallowed the 3rd goal.
I want to check out http://www.phonegap.com/, looks very interesting. A way to develop for all the different cell phones instead of just focusing on one or the other.
When I go to write my own site, some key things:
- Coldbox/Spring - take as close to OO as I can with CF and have proper objects. This will give me ability to easily share all my functionality
- Ajax - Properly use Ajax on all the pages.
- JS library - Enough of writing all my own, I need to use something common, Jquery will probably be the one.
- Pure CSS for design with Divs - I want no tables in my code, all divs and everything being properly controlled from CSS
- TinyMCE for the HTML Editor
- Proper database design, roles and permissions will drive everything.
- Must look good mobile and be useable. Once I rewrite this, and complete, move to learning xCode for iPhone.
- read up a bit on 508 compliance and get as close as I can. Will look good for future jobs. This site will be what I show.
